I thought this would be more fun to change up the format of my previous city guides I asked my friend and partner who I am currently working on my next show with to ask me some questions about L.A
When in town, favourite place to stay?
Best place for breakfast?
This is a hard one to choose but it would be a tie between the Cabana Cafe at the BH Hotel and Joan's on 3rd.
What do you like the most about L.A?
First, the weather. I've been here pretty much in all seasons and it's always summer. I love the early morning hikes and the contrasts between Hollywood, Downtown and the beaches in Malibu - you really have all the best things in one city.
Favourite place for lunch?
Urth Cafe on Melrose, Gjelina in Venice but I never say no to In'n'Out.
Where can we find you for drinks?
Depends on the hour - afternoon cocktails will most likely be spent by the pool in my hotel. After hours can be anywhere from a bar to a villa in the hills - L.A is full of surprises.
Most famous person you have ever bumped into whilst in the city?
Mick Jagger was having dinner at the same restaurant the other night and Kendall Jenner was having breakfast with Hailey Baldwin the other morning at the table next me and I've bumped into Jonah Hill at my gym a couple of times.
Best place for dinner?
It will have to be a tie between Catch and Delilah...can't choose.
A place you tend to go to over and over again?
Malibu Farm Cafe.
You have a pretty cool wardrobe - tell us where you get your best finds from L.A?
I always pass by the vintage store Wasteland on Melrose, Melrose & Fairfax vintage market on Sunday's, the sneaker shops on North Fairfax, the boutiques by Robertson and Nordstrom Rack for designer finds. Although, I have to admit, my favourite shop is BLICK where I get all my art supply from spray cans and canvases to everything in between. And I always end up buying all my Tech gear while I'm here and I get everything at BestBuy - cameras, accessories, drones - you name it.
Since you always wake up for sunrise and never miss a sunset - where do you go?
For sunrise, I love the views from Runyon Canyon and watching the sunrise over downtown - it's pretty insane from this height of the city. For sunset my favourite is Griffith Observatory but I always forget that trying to get there 1h before is not enough - you end up in long traffic queues and nowhere to park so make sure to get up here for an afternoon hike at 3 to be sure not to miss it!
LACMA and The Getty are my favorites, I recently visited one of the Case Study Hollywood Villa's STAHL HOUSE which was cool - the view from that place is amazing.
What about Downtown? Ever hang out there?
Downtown is cool and I always come out here, either to the art district which has lot of cool galleries, shops and cool street art to look at. In the evening I go to BESTIA - the food is just amazing. But make sure to book - this place is still the hardest place to get a table at.
